The holiday season in 2020 was different than ever before, but KAFE 104.1 was still determined to spread hope and joy with their annual Christmas Wish contest. In November and December, KAFE accepted nominations from members of the community hoping to grant a Christmas Wish for someone special in their lives. With a budget of over $12,000, a network of amazing local businesses, and two incredible sponsors—Phillips 66 and Little Caesars—KAFE was able to make so many wonderful wishes come true!

Like Aleta, who wanted to give her 87-year-old father an upright walker.

And Autumn, who lost her home and business when Covid hit, but who was still determined to give her five kids a joyous Christmas with presents under the tree.

And Heather, whose daughter Samantha wanted to be officially adopted by her stepfather and needed legal help to make it happen.

Over the course of December, KAFE granted 26 wishes. During a hard year, it was an honor to bring joy to so many listeners and share their stories on the air. According to KAFE listener Dodie C., tuning in every day to hear the newest Christmas Wish “makes my heart happy.”
